Brief Bio

Brook was a regular pirate on a regular ship as a regular musician. He ate a mysterious devil fruit, and for some reason, it did nothing to change him, except it made swimming impossible. He hated himself for eating the fruit as it made him less important and less useful to his crew. He and his crew were attacked by other pirates, and their ship was destroyed, he died, but then woke up alive again. He waited a long time on a ship that he found trying to find his old crew, but one day, Luffy and the other Strawhat Pirates arrive, and they convince him to join their crew as the musician. He kept his passion for music, and along the way, managed to get even more proficient with the medium. During the time skip, instead of training like the other crew members, Brook made a music career for himself as "The Soul King". During the chapter of the meetup between the Strawhats to reunite after two years, Brook had his last concert while admitting to being a pirate.

Devil Fruit Ability

Brook has the Revive-Revive fruit. It can both be considered one of the weakest devil fruits, or one of the strongest. It allows the user to revive after death once. It has the drawback of doing nothing until the user dies, so the user can be easily overpowered by other devil fruits. Brook has no Haki, so he is one of the weakest members of the group. He is the musician for the group, and he is often pictured with his instruments in battle. He does not train as much as the other crewmates and this becomes very evident later in the story, where he becomes completely destroyed by his enemies, leading the crew to have to save him. Since his body is made out of only bone, he is extremely light. This allows him to jump super long distances, and briefly sprint across the water (lasts for only seconds). Having a body only made of bones also makes his immune to bleeding and other potentially deadly illnesses. He has proved to never give up on his comrades, as no matter how tough the opponent, he sticks with the Strawhats.
