Brief Bio

Nami was the third member of the Straw Hat crew and is the navigator of the ship. Nami's relationship with Luffy stared out pretty rocky because Nami was originally a thief who stole from pirates and was originally trying to steal money from Luffy so that she could buy her home village back from another group of pirates called the Arlong pirates, but Luffy and the rest of the crew fought and defeated the Arlong pirates, saved Nami's village, and took Nami back as their navigator. Nami isn't the best fighter, but she proves herself by being a great navigator and by keeping the crew together and morale up. Much like many of the other Straw Hats, Nami has goals that she wants to complete while with Luffy and the rest of the crew. Her goals, as a navigator and someone with a love for information, are to make a map of the entire world, to become the best navigator in the world, and to make Luffy the King Of The Pirates.

Devil Fruit

Nami hasn't eaten a devil fruit so she does not have any special powers and she also does not have any haki either. She also isn't particularly strong so for a long time, the only way Nami could fight was with three batons that click together to make a staff that she could hit people with. Then, after the next member of the straw hats, Ussop, joined, he upgraded Nami's batons into the Climate Batton. The climate batton has multiple abilities that Nami can use. Each ability is related to weather such as the tornado tempo, where the top of the batton is launched off and spun using hot and cold air currents. Nami's Climate Batton is also very helpful while fighting a large group of enemies because she can make a large thunder cloud that rains down lighting on her opponents.
