Brief Bio

Usopp was the fourth member of the straw hat pirates. He was born on Syrup village and became an orphan when his mom died and his dad left to become a pirate in the crew of the famous "Red Haired Shanks". When his dad left, he grew up to want to adventure. He led a group of young children as guards for Syrup island. He became ostracised by the villagers of his home as he became "the boy who cried wolf" by claiming false dangers. This became a very big problem, as a real threat emerged in the "Black Cat Pirates". Usopp went to warn the village, but no one believed him. He managed to help save the village, proving to Luffy and the other Strawhats that he was worth having as a member of the crew. During the water 7 arc, he left the crew, only to regret it and come back in secret as the "Sniper King", he later revealed that he was "Sniper king, but everyone except Luffy and Chopper already knew.

Devil Fruit Ability

Usopp is not a devil fruit user, but he manages to keep up with the team by using his slingshot, special types of ammunition, and Haki. his Haki ability is observational Haki, which increases his senses allowing him to use his slingshot even more effectively. it is a running joke in the show that Usopp is weaker than all of the other Strawhats as he is shown to be an average person compared to the others. Although later in the show, he becomes more powerful then Chopper and Brook, as his Haki ability and tactical battle plans make him a very vital member to any mission the team has that involves long ranged attacks. He is the only member of the crew that specializes in specifically long ranged attacks, which often makes him a target for enemies.
